Thanks for participating in r/IPTVGroupBuy.

If this is your first time posting, please check here to see if your question has already been answered. Most Popular Posts, IPTV Getting Started Guides, & FAQs.

Some topics, eg. "My service is down", "please help me identify a provider" are asked frequently. For these topics we have megathreads. Please direct discussions about these topics to the appropriate megathread to avoid clogging up the subreddit for everyone.

Lastly, please do not expect people here to tell you exactly which service you should choose. Asking that is asking to be scammed. If you're looking for something specific, please do some research first. You're more likely to get a good response by saying "I checked the following providers and found X was pretty good but missing this vital channel / had buffering issues, while Y was terrible. What else should I look into?"

There are some people who do re-stream. They rent space on a server then (usually) buy access to a bundle of channels which they then re-stream to their customers. They are then in total control over how much bandwidth they have and how they balance this with the amount of subscriptions they sell.

Obviously the majority just either resell a service from elsewhere (like z2u etc) or package up a prettier version of their channels.

There are providers that further curate their iptv service into something remarkable. They will fix up the epg, clean up the prefixes of channels and categories, adjust the categories, and maintain a nice service. They will juggle stream sources and keep things running smooth.

So how do you determine if a provider is doing this before purchasing? I'd love a clean EPG.

[–]seekup33 8 points9 points  (5 children)

You can do the EPG yourself.

[–]whitemamba83 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Of course, but if I don't want to.

[–]YogurtclosetGrand704 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Please, advising how to do this.

[–]seekup33 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Look into IPTVBoss

[–]YogurtclosetGrand704 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is this something that I need to do on a computer or an app on a TV/Firestick?

Computer

Thanks for sharing this detailed guide! It’s really helpful to know how to navigate these marketplaces and avoid overpaying for IPTV services.

Can someone explain the app side of things? I’ve messaged a few people asking for a trial - does this include the app?

[–]Mother_Candidate_215 0 points1 point  (2 children)

you can use your own app. Be wary of providers who say they want you to use their app

[–]PlugDinTVNewbie 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What’s the issue with using rebranded apps?

[–]Mother_Candidate_215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can be loaded with malware, and are generally sluggish, especially on a firestick

[–]MJkins12 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Once you purchase, how does it work? You plug in the playlist code into your app and it works?

[–]dfoolioValued Collaborator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

Not sure I understand your comment about active customers. Are you saying that after buying a panel the vendor expects/requires that the credits be used actively, i.e. purchaser has sold to other or has other friends/family on board using the service? If hat's the case why would the vendor care. Maybe I really don't understand the comment.

    [–]Razar-tonic 2 points3 points  (2 children)

This is not always the case. Many here have bought panels for private use and this is rarely an issue.

Just joined the sub and just started looking into iptv recently. I been using APK apps for me and all my family. Now im looking into services and learning what some of these terms mean. Can someone explain what a panels are and how they function?

There's quite a few sports channels on fairly high bandwidth 4k. There would be no benefit on upscaling to stream.

There are also quite a few channels labelled as 4k which are just HD or FHD

how long are these trials supposed to last? I'm being offered only 1day trials on z2u and was hoping for something more like a month

              [–]Nothin_Means_Nothin 1 point2 points  (12 children)

You'll never find one for more than 24 hours. Ive even tried a few that only gave 12 hour free trials lol.

Most providers start their rates at 1 month.

              [–]ObjectiveSurprise231 0 points1 point  (11 children)

Thanks for the reply. For newbies who're still figuring things out, 24hrs seems too less. I guess a monthly subscription will have to do

              [–]elchiavador 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I always buy month by month... 3/4 dollars so nothing unaffordable and i'm trying lot of seller to check the best for me (live italian sports). Test is useful just to check the seller customer service... Try also to sort the list by "store level" on z2u.

              [–]ObjectiveSurprise231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will do, thanks! Good point there about checking store level first and of course service response

              [–]etrain1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are all of these only one connection?

              [–]elchiavador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

              Yes

              [–]first_name_lisa 1 point2 points  (6 children)

I thought the same thing, 24 hours is not enough time for me to determine if I like something. I always buy just one month. If I figure out in a week, it’s not the service for me, I just find a new service to try. I don’t consider that $15-ish a loss. It’s still cheaper than cable.

              [–]ObjectiveSurprise231 1 point2 points  (5 children)

              Isn't 15$/month expensive? I'm trialing the 3$/month ones on Z2U

              [–]first_name_lisa 2 points3 points  (4 children)

I tried three I found on alibaba ($4 and two at $6 a month)and gave up. Not great services. Yes, in IPTV-speak, $15 a month is expensive. But the service I have now works, is crystal clear, minimal buffering, easy UI, responsive customer service, all the VOD I want, PPV (if I cared about it), and still a fraction of cable services. I don’t mind paying $15/month (it would be less if I did less frequency like 3 or 6months at a time). It’s worth it to me to not keep having to trial a service and redo a new set up every time. Another “expensive” IPTV service is pearliptv and that would be my second choice if my current service didn’t work. I’m not greedy, and I don’t need to throw around “my service is cheaper than yours” words to feel superior. I would pay more money for the service I get to not have to deal with shit not working when I get home from work and just want to relax to my favorite shows.

              [–]ObjectiveSurprise231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah strange how they work for some but not for others. I've read other posts here saying it's dependent on Wifi speeds, regions and even how the provider has configured their service for you (in which case, you'd have to ask them to attempt to fix it).

Good that what you have works and is cost-effective for you. End of the day, that's all that matters

              [–]sovietgandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Struggling to find those expensive ones, especially the pearl. Is it on alibaba? There is a chance that I’m using/searching it in the wrong way

              [–]LuckieSnickers 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hi there. What's the name of the service you are using now? I am looking for a service and sorry to say that I am not too keen or trusting of Alibaba or the other one that's being tossed around.

What about this site is it the official site how to reach this 8k and be reseller or get the service from them directly instead of z2u?

              [–]dfoolioValued Collaborator[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

              I’m sorry I don’t understand the question

              [–]PatientTomatillo3955 1 point2 points  (4 children)

what is the differance between this site https://strong8k.com/ and z2u ? why we don't buy from sites is that because of price ? and what is the offical web site for strong 8K and trex ? how this reseller contact with them ?

              [–]dfoolioValued Collaborator[S] 3 points4 points  (3 children)

No, because Strong 8k does NOT have a website. They do NOT advertised. They are NOT selling directly to the public like that.

When you get it from that site you are either getting one or more of the following; - A fake service that isn’t Strong 8k - A service that WILL get shut down sooner than later because it’s advertised to everyone - Possibly strong 8k, but it’s just some reseller who is repackaging the site (changing some categories, possible adding a logo, maybe renaming some channels, etc.)and charging a higher price to rip you off - a service that is also most likely some other rebrand of another service - etc.

These sources from z2u and Alibaba are a bop or two away from the actual direct “mothership”. Why would you risk buying from a site that’s not the real service but just some nifty repackaged crap from another reseller?

It’s totally your choice to make, go ahead and try it, and feel free to report back.

Just remember, these services (Trex, Eagle 4k, Mega, etc.) don’t advertise, they don’t need to. They have more than enough subscribers coming in from these marketplaces and more; they don’t need the extra attention and certainly have no benefit from doing so. Any sites like those are resellers that get it from somewhere else and make a quick buck off the subscribers.

              [–]Andialb 1 point2 points  (1 child)

how else to get a subscription from Strong 8k? isn't the z2u the only way

              [–]dfoolioValued Collaborator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

              Alibaba as well

              [–]PatientTomatillo3955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

many thanks for your explantion bro now i understand everything i already buy from one of this site before i see this subreddit now i have full knowlege about that and let hope my service will not shut down

              [–]tekson_ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I must be doing something wrong. I go to Z2U, crated an account, searched IPTV and filtered by Account and all I see are 4 options

              <image>

              [–]tekson_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up just googling Z2U Strong8K and got to where I needed to go

              [–]James_Vowles -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would be wary of posting stuff like this as it may get the sub banned (I think), like other iptv subs. Maybe it's just my thinking though
