Thanks for participating in r/IPTVGroupBuy.

You can find answers to most questions linked from the Official Introduction to IPTVGROUPBUY, the last IPTV subreddit you will ever need.

Some topics, eg. "My service is down", "please help me identify a provider" are asked frequently. For these topics we have megathreads. Please direct discussions about these topics to the appropriate megathread to avoid clogging up the subreddit for everyone.

Please do not expect people here to tell you exactly which service you should go with. Asking that is asking to be scammed. If you're looking for something specific like cooking channels in your country, please do some research first. You're more likely to get a good response by saying "I checked the following providers and found X was pretty good but missing this vital channel / had buffering issues, while Y was terrible. What else should I look into?"

Since this entails you spent a lot of time working with Crystal - how did you find that service overall compared to Trex and Eagle?

[–]HunterSThompson64Valued Collaborator[S] 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Just for the record, I used the IPTV Tools script (that I modified) to gather all the information. Took like 15 minutes to run the category for each, maybe less.

To answer your question, I found a seller on Z2U, think it was $5 for 3mo. Very inexpensive, but also not very deep in terms of English content. It's also lacking features of the other providers, as you can see in the post.

Your script has been a great tool! I throw a few providers into a category and use it to filter the 60 fps channels. Streams do change, but this way I don't have 40 ESPN 1 and can easily edit them in IPTV editor.

It is great for finding 60 fps locals..like CBS too

Does anyone know of a service that does the USA CNN 4K feed? Preferably real 4K not upsampled 1080p. Scanned the spreadsheet but its not clear to me as I find 4K CNN in metadata sheets but don't seem to see it in the core sheet for a service?

[–]iveo83 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Doesnt look like any of those have YES (yankees sports network). Any idea what one would have it?

[–]HunterSThompson64Valued Collaborator[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

As I had mentioned, because of the way the providers categorize, not everything will be in the US Entertainment section. The reason I chose this category specifically, is because it often has many channels that would be frequented by users here.

YES is likely in the sports category, and/or filtered further to MLB/Baseball specific channels. It could also be placed under a US specific sports section, or a US HD specific; you get my point.

Just because a channel isn't available in the provided list, doesn't mean it isn't there, and the provided list doesn't encompass all US channels available. There are likely backups.

I've not tested any, but each of the providers mentioned on the sheet have YES.

Okay thanks so much 😁

If you get a chance, can you do CA news, CA entertainment, US news and CA Sports (these categories should be identical between providers I imagine).

Great work! History channel looks to be the same stream source for trex and strong.

Saddens me in a way that no iptv service comes close to offering any real 4k streams. These are basically the same streaming quality since 2017!

[–]feebas_cash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow great thinking.

[–]anewfriend4u 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Great job. However any chance you can do a layman's summary of your opinion of the results. While there will always be people who love the raw data, there are others that would be very happy with your curated opinions.

[–]abbaskip 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Strong best for resolution, then Eagle, then Trex (only comparing those 3 due to number of channels)

Trex best for catchup, then Eagle, then strong (though Strong's strength is British catchup).

60fps there's no summary stats but it looks like Strong and Eagle are best

[–]anewfriend4u 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thank you. Very helpful 👍🙂

[–]P0weroflogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you happen to notice a difference in EPG quality between the services you've tested?

[–]Adventurous-Stay3654 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Great contribution. When you get bored next, can you do British channels 😝

Interesting to see that it seems Strong and then Eagle are the leaders in this regard (more FHD and from quick glance more 60fps).

This is a great sheet. I know this is difficult but would be awesome to know how long channels are active before going dead and need a reboot.

[–]Striking_Inside2561 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did you guys tried sparkle tv for android tv it shows the frame rate !? Of any channels

[–]redhusker2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they all the same service? They look exactly the same and if not which one is the best.
